Show 014 – Delay Processing and Building DIY Mic Preamps with Jeff Connor
We’ve got a great show this week. Jon explains delay processing and Ryan interviews Jeff Connor, one of our listeners on the subject of Do-It-Yourself microphone preamps.
We also discuss the atrocity that is the new Metallica album, Death Magnetic.

Just wanted to say I’ve been enjoying the podcast since Show #1, and I’ve learned a lot from it. I have been interested in the DIY preamps, and I was glad to hear from someone who had put some together. I think I better start with the clone kits, as my soldering skills are up to making audio and mic cords and replacing the odd pot here and there.
Also, I am enjoying the segments on effects. Very nice.
I am using a Line 6 Toneport for my interface, and it has several preamp “models” included. I’d be interested in finding out how these work and how they stack up to the hardware pre’s they are modeled on.
Thanks for all the hard work; I’m looking forward to the next one.
Awesome show, searched for audio recording podcasts in the past but they seem to fizzle after about 10 shows, ust make sure you keep it up. Went back and listened to all the previous casts as well. Great job!
