  1. Hi,

I’m a new listener to your podcast and have been enjoying it. Thanks for your efforts!

In the latest episode about recording vocals in bedrooms, I was surprised to hear that you recommend placing acoustic treatment behind singer. I have not heard this recommended before. I know it is common to place acoustic treatment behind the microphone (like the SE Reflexion Filter) but not behind the singer.

Also, I would be curious to hear more elaboration on the argument about placing a compressor in the signal path (as opposed to using plug-ins after the fact).

I hava dBX compressor, but never use it anymore. I use plug-ins instead.

    Keep up the great work!

    Thanks.

    • Hi Dave
We’ll address your comments and questions in the next show. We have discussed ‘inline’ compression several times in other show but at length in our very first show.
