I've heard how much tighter the converters sound especially with the Alesis A-3 converters. The Seventh Circle preamps are an excellent choice for home and pro studios. I'm waiting on mine to be shipped back - went through the same decision and decided for the studio I have, nd clients, it made the most sense. Also as far as preamps - I built 8 channels of Seventh Circle pres - 4 Neve Clones, 2 Jensen/Hardy style and 2 Millenia style for less than 3K.
