		<description>The Alesis D4 is a workhorse. I&#039;ve used it quite a few times in the past, and except for the first time I used it, it&#039;s always worked like a champ.  I might have to pick one of those up, because you don&#039;t have to worry about your software going out of date.</description>

		<description>For drum triggers, a nice, cheap option I used to use is to run the mic signal&#039;s into an Alesis D4, which has 12 trigger inputs and will convert to MIDI.

You can pick D4s up for very little and they&#039;ll do a decent job. There&#039;s no need for specialist bugs or converters.

These days I just use Drumagog and am currently eying Slate Trigger...</description>
