Special Show – Ryan Interviews Dr. Folkman

Posted by Ryan | mixing,Producing,studio | Tuesday 2 August 2011 12:02 am

Jon got a gig working on a movie this week so there will not be a normal show.  I recently conducted an interview with a client who quickly became a friend during the process of making his album.  We sat down and talked for about 40 minutes about the creative process, the studio process, and how the overall project came together.  I also included one of the songs that we discuss at the end of the show.  Here is that interview.

Posted by Ryan | Home Recording,Home Recording Techniques,interview,microphone,Pro Tools | Thursday 21 October 2010 12:02 am

Jon is out this show because his daughter Alice was born the day we tape the show.  Congratulations to Jon and Holly.

This week Ryan interviews William Rigout about the Château d’Hérouville, also named the Honky Château by Elton John, where many notable artists recorded in the 1970′s.  Jesse does a segment on how to record a violin with examples if different microphones at different distances.  Our guest Mo Carey asks us a few questions from an recording artist’s point of view.
